Fibroids

Fibroids are abnormal growths that grow in a woman's uterus, sometimes these tumors can grow to large sizes and cause severe abdominal pain and bleeding. In most cases, these tumors are non- cancerous. The cause of fibroids is unclear but several factors (family history and pregnancy)might influence their formation.

The treatments of fibroids differ per individual, the treatment plan is based of age,size of the fibroids and your overall health. Surgery/ minimally invasive procedures might be required to remove large growths and medication to regulate hormones.
